Suffocation
[ This is a translation of an article published by pitsirikos ]
Everybody who was yesterday at the centre of Athens to demonstrate -or was just passing by- will never forget it. There exist many things we can forget in our lives, but one can never forget the feeling of being suffocated. The feeling of being drowned.
Only those who were yesterday at the centre of Athens -from Syntama to Dionysiou Areopagitou St., Plaka and Monastiraki- can conceive the violence and brutality from the police forces, in their effort to carry out the order to break down -at any cost- this big demonstration of tens of thousands of peaceful protesters and empty the Syntagma square. The parastate reached a peak performance yesterday. And was left broke.
