Dire Straits - Why bands matter

Dire Straits. Possibly one of the most successfully underrated bands in 80's. A band I love. Too much quality, one should dedicate hours to find which live versions of their songs are better than the other live versions. Emotion, simplified lyrics sometimes, depressing songs other times, rhythm and of course Mark Knopfler's guitar sound. What else do you need to justify a music preference? Well, I also need the fact that their sound waves have been one of the reasons, a strong drive for me to do totally different things in my life. Actually, the things I really enjoy. And I don't even have to thank them.
Sultans of Swing live and extended - Everybody knows this song. Not everybody knows this version. Well, this is your chance.
