Camel - Music with Senses

Camel is an inspirational and severely underrated band. If I had to categorise their music, I'd place them to the so called progressive rock style. Their songs are ingenious, their sound solid but complex and their final outcome always triggers my emotions. I have spent lots of days in my life with Camel, but I hope you won't have to do the same.

Air born - Smells 70's.

Lies - Go to 03:00 and warm up with this one.

Never Let Go (live) - Another popular song of the band's early days. This version is a must listen. WHY? Go to 04:00 and you'll get the point (I hope).

Lady Fantasy (live) - One of their most popular songs. A mix of emotions, sounds and a of course a landmark for the progressive rock scene. If you want to quickly undestand why you should listen to this song, just go to 05:55 or 09:35.

For Today - Can't say much about this song. It is a very depressing way to state a very positive message carrying the signature of Camel.

Lawrence - A depressing song. My favourite part starts from 04:00.

 Camel

Sahara - This song (and the entire 'Rajaz' album) forms a different approach to rock music. The main sound theme is influenced from eastern-arabic music cultures. And the guitar solo is unique. Just another must listen.

Rhayader Goes to Town - An instrumental recital.

Stationary Traveller (live) - Possibly one of the best instrumental songs out there. Belongs to the history of music since it produces the best lyrics without saying a word.

Ice
(live) - One of the most emotional songs of Camel, if one is able to take such a decision. The guitar innuendo is nevertheless epic. Spoiler? Go to 04:45. [ the actual video of this performance but of lower quality ]

Long Goodbyes (live) - I hate goodbyes, therefore I agree with this song. And its guitar solo has the Camel signature. I love it.

Drafted
(live) - Very nice simple and melodic song. Again with this characteristic tune of depression.

Nimrodel / The Procession / The White Rider - An epic song for epic people. Hints: 1:54, 4:14.
