I am Vasileios Lampos (or just Bill).

After graduating from Computer Engineering and Informatics Department (CEID) in University of Patras (GR), I joined the Computer Science Department in University of Bristol (UK) for the MSc in Advanced Computing - Internet Technologies with Security. I graduated with dinstinction and first in my class.

Then, I decided to do a PhD under the supervision of Prof. Nello Cristianini. My work concentrates on applying Statistical (Machine) Learning or Artificial Intelligence oriented methods to unstructured, user-generated web content (primarily driven by the Social Media) to conduct inferences about several aspects of our everyday life. My work has been featured in several mainstream and science media; here is a collection of some media references for my latest journal paper. I am also member of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory, Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Systems Group and PASCAL 2 Network.

Now, I am finishing writing up my PhD Thesis, and therefore this is the best time to contact me.
